What brought you to KU: I was drawn to KU Student Housing because when looking for a position, I wanted a high level of responsibility and autonomy. KU Student Housing offers all of this through opportunities like serving on a 24-hour on-call rotation, direct supervision of an undergraduate staff team, and advising a hall council. KU Student Housing offers many opportunities like these and more that are not often found anywhere else.

What is your most exciting experience working with KU Student Housing: My most exciting experience has been working with the Gender Inclusive Housing (GIH) community. GIH is in its developmental years so this has allowed me to be a part of the evolution of its mission and vision. I'm excited to see how much this community grows.

What are opportunities for someone joining the department: Two big opportunities are the professional development allowance and the ability to work on various committees. The department financially assists in attending conferences and other professional development opportunities that some may not otherwise be able to attend.
