What brought you to KU: I chose to come to KU because it outranked the other institutions I was exploring by a great deal in many different areas including graduate program, faculty, assistantship responsibilities, department culture, coworkers, location, living space, compensation, etc. Most importantly, KU was the institution I explored that was the most focused on social justice and inclusion..

Where is your favorite place on campus or in Lawrence: My favorite place to visit in Lawrence is the Hookah House on Mass St.

What are important qualities needed to be successful here: The most important qualities needed to be successful in this department are determination, self-advocacy, and empathy.
