What brought you to KU: As a KU alumna, I've always found the University of Kansas and Lawrence to be an engaging, vibrant community. The focus on continuing traditions of excellence while enacting change to move the university forward has continued to call me home.

What is your most exciting experience working with KU Student Housing: I have continued to be given the opportunity to take on additional projects (transitional and guest housing, chairing committees, developing processes) that have a direct impact on our residents' experiences. The department's willingness to engage young professionals in expanding their skillset is something that has continued to challenge me to become a better student affairs practitioner..

How you are able to live authentically here: I appreciate the freedom to practice work-life balance behaviors - from support in taking time off, guest housing for visitors, and the flexibility in my evenings to engage in self-work (my personal favorite is my weekly ballet class), time away is something that is actively encouraged and supported by my supervisor(s) and team members.
