What brought you to KU: I came to KU for multiple reasons. First, I was involved in Res Life in undergrad, and knew I wanted to continue work within it. The second reason was the people I met. As I continued to meet people through the interview process, I felt a connection with them and the department. The last reason I chose KU Student Housing was that I wanted to work on a campus with a larger and different population of residents, and KU fit all of that.

Where is your favorite place on campus or in Lawrence: My favorite place in Lawrence is downtown Mass Street. There are so many local shops and restaurants you can go to. It is a great place to get away from campus. I feel like I am always finding a new place to eat every time I go.

What are important qualities needed to be successful here: I would say that the most important quality needed to be successful in the department is adaptability. When it comes to adaptability, it is at the core of residence life and higher education in general. In this field, things happen and change on a dime. The one thing I have learned, is to just go with the flow and adjust as needed.
