KU Student Housing is recruiting for undergraduate staff to start working this October as an RA in the residence halls and apartments, or as Scholarship Hall Proctor or Food Board Manager. 

Application deadline is 11:59 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 12 with interviews set for September 15-17. Successful candidates should be onboarded and working by Friday, Oct. 1.

Required job qualifications include:

1. Must have completed 1 semester of full-time student enrollment by the time of employment.
2. Must be a full-time KU student with enrollment in no more than 18 undergraduate hours, or no more than 9 graduate hours per semester.
3. Maintain a minimum 2.50 KU cumulative GPA and be in good standing with the university and Student Housing at the start of the hiring process and for the duration of their employment. Undergraduate Staff cannot begin active employment with less than a 2.5 KU cumulative GPA. Undergraduate Staff can only receive one semester of ‘probationary status’ due to grades before termination.

Preferred Qualification: Have at least 2 semesters of residential group living experience.

Any incoming or current resident is invited to apply for the position of desk assistant for the 2021-22 school year.

Duties include answering the telephone, answering questions, checking-out hall equipment, issuing keys, distributing mail and packages, responding to emergencies, security and building safety duties, and more.
