McCollum demolition date set

The University of Kansas has set 9 a.m. Nov. 25, for the demolition of McCollum Residence Hall. The date falls on the first day of Thanksgiving Break, so residents will likely be gone for the long weekend, but a perimeter will also be installed. In the meantime, KU is dismantling the building’s interior. Here are two stories from the Lawrence Journal-World, one on  removing and donating old furniture, and a second on securing new homes for the McCollum brothers’ portraits from the McCollum lobby.
