Staggered move-in process occurring now; heavier traffic expected Thursday through Sunday

Tuesday, August 18, 2020

LAWRENCE — University of Kansas employees and the Lawrence community should anticipate heavier traffic than normal from Thursday through Sunday, Aug. 20-23, as many Student Housing residents will move in on those days. Also, many residents staged their rooms by appointment in advance and then returned home. Those students are expected to return to the KU campus after 5:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21.

In previous years, there has been increased traffic at:

  • 15th and Iowa streets, location of the Daisy Hill residence halls.
  • 11th and Louisiana streets, location of GSP and Corbin residence halls.
  • 19th Street at both Ousdahl Road and Ellis Drive, which are the entrances for Downs Residence Hall and Stouffer Place.
