The University of Kansas is excited to host the 2023 Big XII Housing, Dining, and Operations Conference in Lawrence, Kansas this October 16-18. Here are some helpful tips for planning your trip.

Parking:
Parking is free in all green lots highlighted here. Please do not park in lots marked as red or blue. Our main meeting locations are starred on the map: the Burge Union, Daisy Hill Commons, South Dining Commons, and the DeBruce Center. Transportation will be provided between roundtables and tour sessions.
For the Dinner and Closing at the DeBruce Center, we recommend parking in Lot 72 (or red Lot 54 after 5 p.m.)

Hotels:
The University of Kansas has made arrangements with two downtown hotels to reserve blocks of rooms for conference participants. A free shuttle will run between the hotels and campus throughout the conference. The hotels are:

Transportation:
If you are flying into Kansas City International Airport (MCI) the ride from the airport to Lawrence is approximately one hour. Here are some of the transportation companies that will take you from the MCI Airport to Lawrence:

- An exclusive personalized service for up to 5 people with door-to-door delivery to any location in Lawrence. Drivers monitor flight arrivals and can meet passengers at the airport gate. Reservations required at least two days in advance.

Taxi Service
Taxis are available through various taxi service telephones located at the baggage claim areas in each terminal and outside the terminal exits. Taxi service from the airport is very expensive, but it may be possible to share the ride with other people to reduce the cost. Before entering a taxi, establish the estimated cost with the driver.
