What to Expect
Keys to a Successful Summer
Linens Rental Service
To ensure a comfortable stay for your guests, linen packages are available for rent and can be placed in rooms prior to arrival upon request. Each package includes:
- Fitted bottom sheet
- Flat top sheet
- Pillow and pillowcase
- Warm blanket
Used linens will be collected weekly at central drop-off locations, and fresh linens will be available at a designated pick-up spot. These locations and times will be confirmed during your pre-arrival meeting.

Laundry Facilities
Each building includes high-capacity, high-efficiency laundry machines for guest use.
At check-in, each guest will receive
- A red access card for secure entry to:
- their assigned residence hall
- The designated dining center
- A room key for their assigned space
Lost or Non-Working Cars & Keys
If a card or key is lost, broken, or not working, the guest or group director should notify the building's service desk immediately. Prompt reporting helps ensure safety and security of all guests.
Important Notes:
- Room keys are non-transferable
- A $50 replacement fee will be charged for each lost room key
- Replacement charges will be included on the group's final invoice
Dining services and plans are available for all camps and conferences groups staying on campus during the summer.
Meal plan options are based on group size and schedule, and KU Dining offers flexible plan types that can be tailored to meet your needs. Final arrangements will be confirmed during your group’s pre-arrival planning. For more information on meal plans, menus, or dietary accommodations, please contact KU Dining or your conference coordinator.

Parking is available in housing green lots, and orange lots near residence halls during the summer.
Green Housing Lots: Free to use for all guests until Fall classes begin.
Outdoor Yellow Lots: Open and free to use until summer classes begin on June 2nd.
All Other Lots: Require a valid parking permit

Air Conditioning: All residence hall rooms are fully air-conditioned for your comfort.
Wi-Fi Access: High-speed internet is provided by Apogee. Guests will receive a unique username and password at check-in to access Wi-Fi throughout the day.
Land-Line Phones: Available in building entrances and floor lobbies for 911 and on-campus calls only.
Printing Services: If printing is needed, services can be coordinated through KU IT. Please discuss Wi-Fi and printing needs during your pre-arrival meeting.
