Connecting with Parents and Families

Email notifications will be sent to parents' or families' email addresses, as well as the student's KU and alternate email addresses, until room selection is complete. Once the student has finished room selection, KU Housing email notifications will only be sent to the student's KU email address. 

Parents and families also have the option to join KU Family Connection. KU Family Connection is designed to send information that parents and families need when they need it and to connect families with resources to support their student's KU experience.

Student Concerns

If you are a parent with concerns about your student, please reach out to our hall staff. Contact information for hall staff can be found at the bottom of each hall page. A complete list of Housing & Residence halls can be found on the A–Z directory page.

Additionally, KU has resources available to help support students. You can visit the Student Support and Case Management website to learn more, or submit a CARE Referral on the Student Affairs website and a representative from SCRT will follow up.
