Welcome to Oswald Hall
Oswald Hall is located on the south end of a three-building complex that includes the Daisy Hill Commons and Self Hall. Its rooms include two- and four-person suites, and private bedrooms with shared bath. This coed hall is single gender by suite and houses 350 residents. It is reserved for newly admitted freshman only. Oswald Hall opened in 2015 and is named for KU alumnus Charles W. "Charley" Oswald, who gave $22 million to KU over his lifetime.

Every floor in Self and Oswald has a community living room and study space. The halls have wireless internet, free laundry, and "print anywhere" stations. Self and Oswald are connected by the Daisy Hill Commons, an academic, recreational and service center area. It offers a mix of public and private areas with opportunities for group collaboration and study.

This beautiful space is a building that connects Self and Oswald Halls. You'll recognize it by the distinctive copper color on the exterior that faces the quad. DHC, as it's known, offers a mix of public and private areas with opportunities for group collaboration at tall tables, or private study in carrels or small rooms with sliding glass doors. The large 40-person classroom, complete with whiteboards and movable tables, is used for supplemental instruction classes. There are also comfortable spaces, perfect for individual study or just relaxing, and the space also has wireless internet, and a recreation link with pool table and large TVs.

The rooms in Self and Oswald Halls include two- and four-person suites, and private bedroom with shared bath. The beds are lofted, and mattresses are extra long twin (36" x 80"). Rooms also are furnished with window blinds, and a desk (42"W x 24"D x 30"H), desk chair, dresser (30"W x 24"D x 30"H), and closet space for each resident.
Living Room Furnishings
Starting in Fall 2022, Oswald Hall four person suites will be provided with living room furnishings consisting of a small couch and two armchairs.
