KU has partnered with Boldyn Networks to provide internet service in most residential buildings.
Their service features:
  • Reliable internet with speeds of 100 Mbps download and 100 Mbps upload per device.
  • Up to 10 devices included per user account
  • Supports HD video streaming, online gaming, and file sharing.

Boldyn MyResNet is the high-capacity Wi-Fi network for Housing & Residence Life, allowing each student to connect up to ten devices for streaming music, video, and online gaming.

To make sure you’re connected, follow these steps:

  1. Connect to “MyResNet Start Here” from your list of available Wi-Fi networks.
  2. Open a web browser to access the portal, or access the portal here
  3. Set up your account using your mobile device, PC, or Mac
  4. Once your account is set up, forget "MyResNet Start Here" from your list of Wi-Fi networks.
  5. Connect to "MyResNet-5G" and enter your password.

  • Boldyn Networks does not provide Ethernet cables.

Hawker uses Midco

  • Reliable internet service, offering speeds from 35 Mbps to 100 Mbps per user, per device
  • Enjoy HD video streaming, online gaming and seamless file sharing. 

To make sure you’re connected, follow the steps below.

  • Hawker Residents: Set up their Wifi (one router per apartment is included) using the instructions included in the router package. Residents sharing an apartment should communicate to each other the password that they choose.
