There is a $50 non-refundable application fee for housing. Transfer students are not required to pay an enrollment deposit.

Sign Up for a Special Community
If you wish to live in a Special Community (Honors, EngineeringROTC, Rainbow Community, GIA), submit your Special Community Preference Application by May 1.

Connect with a Roommate
You are allowed to pull in ONE roommate. There will be an opportunity to pair with your roommate closer to room selection so that you can select into the same living space. To do so, you both must have paid your housing application fee and either paid or deferred your enrollment deposit.

Submit Medical Accommodations Request
If you need medical accommodations, submit your request to the Student Access Center by April 1 and no later than May 15. This maximizes the likelihood of accommodating requests. Requests received after May 15 will still be considered, but accommodations will be provided based on available space.

Apply in the myKU portal.

Your application is submitted through the myKU portal, not the Housing & Residence Life website. Admitted students must establish their KU online ID to access the portal. MyIdentity Account Setup.
