About Corbin

KU’s first residence hall, Corbin, sits on a historic ridge near the site where the University’s first building, North College, was built in 1866. It is home to more than 300 women. Corbin Hall was built in two phases, with the original building completed in 1923 and a north addition finished in 1951. Corbin Hall reopened in August 2018 after a $13.5 million renovation that introduced a new main entry and updated all student rooms.

Every floor in Corbin has a community living room. Wireless internet and laundry are provided. Corbin is located between Memorial Stadium and downtown Lawrence, and is a five-minute level walk to the heart of KU's campus.

Corbin Hall has 1-, 2-, 3-, and 4-person rooms and community bathrooms. Beds are extra-long twin size (36" x 80"). Rooms are also furnished with a desk (42"w x 24"d x 30"h), desk chair, and dresser (31.5"w x 24"d x 47"h). Closets offer approximately 3 ft. of closet space for each resident with an average of 60 vertical inches of hanging space and a shelf above the hanging rod. All windows are furnished with blinds.
