Daisy Hill Move-In

Daisy Hill includes Ellsworth, Hashinger, Lewis, Oswald, Self, and Templin Halls.

Road construction will occur during move-in. Please plan ahead and follow the posted detours. A link to city construction updates will be provided when available.

Before You Arrive

• Check your assigned move-in time
• Review your move-in packet and arrival route
• Print your boarding pass
• Tape your boarding pass securely to the inside of the driver's side windshield so staff can see it.
• Trailers, U-Hauls, box trucks, and RVs are prohibited during move-in. 
• Review the What to Bring page
• Bring your KU ID card.
  • You must submit your information for your first KU Card.
  • If you have already submitted your information, check your KU email for pickup details provided by the Card Center or review where to pick up your KU ID.

Instructions for Aug. 20-21

Arrival Directions

1. Find your move-in time in the arrival schedules.
2. Arrive at Parking Lot 300
3. Staff will direct you to the line that corresponds to your residence hall. 
4. Turn left to exit Lot 300 and drive north to Irving Hill Road.
5. Follow staff directions to your hall's unloading zone. 
6. Unload your belongings promptly. 

Long-Term Parking & Shuttles

After unloading, drivers will be directed to park in Lot 90 and then take the shuttle bus back to Daisy Hill. 

To reach Lot 90: 

1. Exit by turning east onto 15th Street
2. Turn south on Naismith Drive
3. Turn left on Schwegler Drive into Lot 90.

If Lot 90 is full, staff will direct drivers to additional long-term parking.

Move-In shuttle schedule:

• 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Accessibility note: People with limited mobility should stay at the hall and should not travel to long-term parking lots.

Important Reminders

• All furniture provided by KU Housing & Residence Life must remain in the room.
• Do not bring tools or materials that could damage walls, furniture, or room surfaces. 
• Keep hallways clear of items and place all trash in designated trash rooms.
  • Dumpsters will be available during move-in to assist with large boxes/items that need to be thrown away.
