Instructions for August 14 and August 20. (Updated 8/7/24)

Residents who signed a lease with Bliss Management for Hawker will be eligible to move-in beginning August 14. Residents who are eligible to move-in on this date will need to sign-up for a move-in arrival time. This time is when you are able to begin checking in to your space.

To sign-up for your arrival time:

  • Login to your myKU portal
  • Click the green “login to Housing”
  • Under, “What would you Like to Do:” select “Fall Move-in Checklist”
  • Click the “Sign-up for Move-in Arrival Time” button

Arrival times are limited, if you don’t see your preferred arrival time it could be that it’s no longer available. Residents can change their arrival time up to 24 hours before their scheduled time.

Residents who selected Hawker through KU’s housing sign-up process will have an assigned move-in time beginning August 20.

Parking

Residents living in Hawker will need to sign-up for a parking pass with KU Parking and Transit in order to gain access to the parking garage. Proof of purchase will be required at check-in to receive a garage door opener.

  • Residents who had a completed Hawker Lease with Bliss Management will need to sign-up for a parking pass with KU Parking and Transit. Your parking fee is included in your monthly rate and will be paid by Housing.

Before you arrive for move-in

  • Update your registration information in your Housing portal.
  • Review your “Fall Move-in Checklist” located in your Housing portal to find your mailing address and assigned bed space.

Reminders & what to expect

  • You MUST have a KU ID Card to enter housing buildings and use your meal plan. Make sure you have completed the steps to get your KU Card, so it is available at your hall when you arrive, to avoid delays in your check-in process.
  • On your move-in day: Be prepared to walk distances and climb stairs in typical Kansas summer heat. Areas in front of buildings will be for unloading items
    • Trailers, U-Hauls and box trucks are prohibited during move-in.
  • Review the What to Bring page for helpful packing lists, prohibited items, move-in tips, and renter’s insurance information.
  • Hawk Week activities will begin on Friday, August 23.
