Guest Housing

KU Student Housing offers overnight accommodations to guests of the University. There are two options for guest housing: Sunflower Apartments at 10th and Missouri, or the University Guest House behind Miller Scholarship Hall.

Guest apartments are fully furnished, including television, Internet, bed linens and towels, and basic kitchen tableware, cookware, and utensils. For overnight guests, the sponsoring KU department should submit this online form. For questions, contact or call 785-864-4560. The alcohol policy for Student Housing apartments is here.

Both University Guest House and Sunflower are charming apartments that have large living rooms, lovely oak floors, and full banks of windows that open to make the space light and airy. Each room has windows with blinds. The bathrooms contain bathtub and shower. The kitchens contain dishwasher, stove and refrigerator. All units are equipped with a gas forced-air furnace for heating and central air conditioning. The ground-floor apartment, apartment 1, in the University Guest House has tile floor instead of hardwood and the bathroom shower does not have a bathtub.

Amenities include:

  • Off-street parking. Guest parking passes are available from KU’s parking and transit office.
  • Cable TV, internet and telephone included
  • Central air conditioning
  • All apartments are non-smoking
  • Landscape and maintenance provided

Sunflower Apartments are located on the northwest corner of 11th and Missouri Streets, adjacent to the north edge of the KU campus (near Memorial Stadium) and within easy walking distance of the main campus.
