Returning Residents

Are you currently enrolled as a KU student—or have you previously lived on-campus—and want to return for the 2023–2024 academic year? Here is some important information to keep in mind:

This year during room selection you will be asked to pick your hall, room, and bedspace.

Limited Apartment Availability

Please be aware that there is a very limited number of apartment spaces available in Stouffer Place and Jayhawker Towers. Spaces are first-come, first served.

 

Important dates for returning students
Dec. 1

Housing Contract Available for Returners 
Returning residents or currently enrolled students who want to live on campus can sign next year’s contract.

Feb. 1

Deadline for Scholarship Hall Returners
Those wishing to return to a scholarship hall must sign their housing contract by this date. 

Feb. 13–
Feb. 15

Room Retention
Returning students may choose to retain their current room and bedspace for next year if it is eligible. Contracts must be submitted by the previous business day before selecting a room.

Feb. 16–
Feb. 19		Roommate Pull-In
Returning residents may add roommates to their room if space is available.
Feb. 20–
March 8		New Room Selection
If you wish to select a different room than your current space, you may do so within this period. The earlier you select your room, the more options you will have available.

Apply in the myKU portal.

Your application is submitted through the myKU portal, not the Housing & Residence Life website. Admitted students must establish their KU online ID to access the portal. MyIdentity Account Setup.

  1. Visit the myKU login page.
  2. Log in with your KU online ID and password.
  3. Select "Services."
  4. Log in to housing.
