Welcome to Sunflower Apartments

Starting in the 2023-2024 academic year, Sunflower Apartments will be utilized for housing KU students.

Building Information

The Sunflower Apartments are located on the northwest corner of 11th and Missouri Street, adjacent to the north edge of the KU campus near Memorial Stadium, within easy walking distance of the main campus. These charming one-story, duplex apartments are set in a hilly area with a beautiful nearby sensory garden maintained by the Audio-Reader Network.

Each apartment is approximately 650 square feet, and houses two students in two rooms. All apartments have oak floors, a bathroom, and a galley kitchen with stove, refrigerator, and dishwasher. The rate is $9,896 per academic year per person ($4,948 per semester). The complex offers free laundry and has a green permit parking lot; students can purchase a parking permit through KU Parking. Sunflower also has a KU Housing staff member assigned to assist residents, and residents have access to 24-hour desk help.

All apartments are non-smoking and follow the Housing & Residence Life alcohol policy.
