Jayhawker Towers and McCarthy Move-In
Sign-Up for an Arrival Time
Returning residents living in Jayhawker Towers and McCarthy will need to sign up for a move-in arrival time. Residents can begin moving in to their Fall 2025 assignment starting at 8:00 am on August 12.
To sign-up for your arrival time:
- Login to your myKU portal
- Click the green “login to Housing”
- Under, "What Would You Like To Do:" select "Fall Move-in Checklist"
- Click the “Sign up for Move-in Arrival Time” button
You may begin checking in to your space at your scheduled arrival time.
Arrival times are limited.
- If you don’t see your preferred arrival time it may no longer available.
- You may change your arrival time up to 24 hours before the scheduled time.
Important Details
- It is not possible to unload trailers, RVs, or U-Hauls on move-in day.
- All furniture provided by KU Housing & Residence Life must remain in the room.
- Do not bring tools that can cause damage to the space to hang items/decorate the room.
- Review our What To Bring webpage for approved decoration materials.
- Keep hallways clear of items and place all trash in designated trash rooms.
- Dumpsters will be available during move-in to assist with large boxes/items that need to be thrown away.
- Communities will hold their first floor meeting and dinner between 5–7 PM.
